Clinic and regulator respond

The London Clinic said it takes pride in care and discretion and that there were no regulatory breaches by the hospital. Ian Hulme, the ICO’s executive director for regulatory supervision, emphasised that patients must be able to trust that their health information is protected and that the regulator will take action where necessary.

Where the Princess is now

The Princess of Wales, who was hospitalised in January 2024 for abdominal surgery, revealed in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer and began treatment.
